Kaloob regularly performs at a home built for the folk arts of the Philippines. It performs at other venues all over the country and abroad upon invitation.
Regular Performances at KALOOB’s Home Stage
KALOOB has an extensive repertoire of music and dances from all over the Philippines, complete with traditional costumes. They are performed with the utmost consideration to indigenous context, 
so that every performance informs and inspires the audience of the depth of Filipino culture and history.
KALOOB is based at the Folk Arts Theater, an 8,000 seat amphitheater within the Cultural Center of the Philippines complex. The landmark edifice was built to become the center of folk arts studies and performances.
Whether it is an intimate show for 50-100 people or a grand spectacle for thousands, KALOOB is equipped to mount any kind of performance, at the Folk Arts Theater, or in any other venue.
The Cordillera Suite
In the corded mountains of the north, from the Ifugaos, Kalingas, Bontocs and the like, is a myriad array of music and dances inspired by nature.
The Lumad Suite
the Manobo, Subanen, B’laan, T’boli, Talaandig, Tigwahanon and thirty other tribes possess a rich culture that is surpassed only by their spirituality.
The Muslim Suite
The breathtakingly beautiful dances of the Muslim were discouraged by Islamic teachings, but survived and flourished in the last six hundred years.
The Principalia Suite
The dances and music of the Filipino Wealthy during the Spanish Period was distinctly coquettish, romantic, formal and rich in attire.
The Barrio Suite
The peasants are the most outgoing, expressive and fun-loving. Their dances are superb metaphors of the Filipinos’ celebration of life.
Worship Dances
These numbers are choreographic explorations on the possibilities of indigenous folk dances as theater and contemporary Christian dance genre.

Workshops in Traditional Music and Dance
KALOOB has designed lecture demonstrations for students, teachers and enthusiasts. Various topics include Culture Heritage and History, Nationalism and Identity, Aesthetics of Filipino Music and Dance, Cultural Redemption, and Filipino Values.
Intensive Training in Dance and Music
KALOOB offers a methodical curriculum to those who want to be part of the KALOOB regular pool of performing artists. It consists of a regular intensive training and immersion to the discipline of performance, research and theater dynamics.
Publication
KALOOB has published books on Filipino culture written by its founder and artistic director Pastor Ed Lapiz. There is also a series of instructional videos of traditional dances based on KALOOB’s original researches. The videos are specifically designed for the Filipino student.
Heritage Tours
KALOOB also designs tours to Philippine heritage and historical sites that combines fun and adventure to serious study of Philippine culture. The group have well-traveled experts who provide lectures during the tours.
Internship
KALOOB offers limited internship programs to students who wish to be immersed in tasks related to Cultural Research, and Care of Traditional Textiles and other Properties.

While the insignia of KALOOB can be taken as a graphic representation of a person dancing, it is actually an ancient Tagalog script for the syllable “KA”. The point above it gives it the form of a dancing person. In the Filipino language, “KA” connotes a sharing that promotes oneness. KALOOB uses dance to promote a unified understanding of a diverse culture. Integral to the mission and vision is the establishment of a true Filipino identity that is defined by a solid cultural heritage.
